Learn how to get your hands around the Router and Swap functionalities
Know your way around the DeFI app and get familiar with the Router and Swap function of the Dopamine App.
What is the Router function?
Typically, the Router is a cross-chain liquidity feature that expects to constantly provide long-lasting infra between different layer-1 and layer-2 blockchain solutions, for example, Matic and Ethereum.
It is designed to bridge networks and allow seamless contract level data flow across several blockchains, facilitating asset-level data transfer.
Dopamine App uses this to provide an optimal route for cross-chain swaps. As a result, you can easily swap from different blockchains and confirm all transactions.
Why should I use the Router function?
Let’s say you want to buy NFT on the Ethereum blockchain, and they are on the Binance smart chain. You can use the Router to perform a cross-chain transaction via the Dopamine App.
Cross-Chain transactions generally help you know the broader dynamics of token use. Dopamine App, for example, would allow you to expand the use of specific tokens via its other promising features like earn.
Step-by-step guide on using the Router function
- Go to the DeFi tab
Open Dopamine App Wallet and tap on the DeFi at the bottom right next to the market tab. Next, tap on the Router tab at the top of the screen.
- Input the Parameters
Tap on the arrow pointing down and choose the network you want to swap to. For this example, we swapped USD coins from the Ethereum blockchain to USDcoin on the BSC blockchain.
- Then tap on the arrow pointing to the bottom of each option and then search for the token.
You need to select the following:
- Choose the network you’re swapping from.
- Input the amount you’re willing to swap
- Choose the blockchain you’re swapping to
- Input the amount you’re willing to swap
- Click Proceed
After inputting the correct details, Dopamine App will do the swap. Once it’s successful, the tokens will be sent directly to your wallet.
What is the Swap function?
Swap is simply exchanging one digital asset for another, for example, swapping your ETH into BNB.
Dopamine App employs this concept to create an easy way for users to swap their tokens. The swap feature is a simplified way of buying and selling assets supported on the Dopamine Wallet.
Why do I need the Swap function?
Here are reasons for swapping coins on Dopamine App.
- Easier Than Selling
Selling a coin comes with matching someone willing to purchase it at that particular time, and this sometimes comes with its own hassles. However, swapping is relatively simple as both parties do an equal exchange.
In fact, you can even make a profit by swapping. Since the crypto market is very volatile and the price fluctuates so fast. Timing the market accurately can give you a bit of luck, and you could earn just by swapping your assets at the right time.
Step by step guide on using the Swap function
- Go to the DeFi tab
Open Dopamine App Wallet and tap on the DeFi at the bottom right next to the market tab. Swipe to the right or tap on the Swap tab at the top of the screen.
- Input the Parameters
Tap on the arrow pointing down and choose the network you want to swap to. For this example, we used Polygon.
Then tap on the arrow pointing to the down of each option and then search for the token.
You need to select the following:
- Pay – Choose the token and input the amount
- Receive: The App will automatically convert the equivalent amount you are converting from to the coin you want.
For this example, we swapped MATIC into AAVE on the Polygon network.
- Click Swap
After inputting the correct details, Dopamine App will do the swap. Once it’s successful, the tokens will be sent directly to your wallet.
Finally, both the Router and Swap features give users a better trading experience while using the Dopamine App
